Prior to World War II, the United States had experienced a period of major economic turmoil. The Great Depression had greatly damaged the economy, with many people suffering from unemployment or a lack of resources. However, as the war started, the industry of the United States was revitalized in an effort to contribute to the war effort.

After 1945, the United States emerged as the world leader due to the destruction that Europe had suffered. The United States became more integrated into the world economy both in an effort to help Europe as well as in an attempt to take the role of "leader" in the world. This integration contributed to creating stability in the country. Moreover, a better economy led to social change as well. People began to move out of cities into the suburbs, which made nuclear families more common than extended families. It also led to longer commutes and to more housing segregation between different racial groups.

It reached to the extend that changes in the American society affects the world in the global scale one example is the LGBT movement. Also one example of US society being integrated into the world is Hollywood where american actors and actresses are idolized all over the world in their movies. Also integrating US economy made the USA a diversified nation of races and people.

Why do tens of thousands of sub-Saharan Africans try to cross the Mediterranean each year?
yanalaym [24]
According to different estimates, between 65,000 and 120,000 sub-Saharan Africans enter the Maghreb (Mauritania, Morocco, Tunisia, Algeria, and Libya) yearly, of which 70 to 80 percent are believed to migrate through Libya and 20 to 30 percent through Algeria and Morocco.
