Answer:

The group of creatures of the same type, that are living and interacting together at the same time and space is called: Population.

Explanation:

Populations is a biology term use to describe a community determined by a certain number of creatures of the same type or species. A population share, the same space or as the biology refers to it: a demographic area. This group of related individuals shares important and determined characteristics that allow them to interbreed (which means that they reproduce between them).

For interbreeding to happen succesfully, the creatures in the population got to peer with another member of the community and to be able to produce fertile offspring. This means that the creatures got to be able to produce another creature with as many possibilities to reproduce effectively as its parents.

Populations occur at different levels. A local population for example, happens in a small piece of land. Also, if the members of a population are able to mate with other local populations, they create a new population named metapopulation.

There are certain factors that affect population and influence its characteristics. For example, population growth is affected by biotic or intrinsic factors. These include actions like disease, competition for food or predators. The factors that are related to the climate are called abiotic factors. for instance: rain, wind, altitude, pollution, etc.

Two examples of populations are: The African elephants and the salmon.

What would happen if a cell replicated once in the presence of this radioactive base?Suppose one were provided with an actively
Ket [755]

Answer:

The correct answer is option E. "DNA in both daughter cells would be radioactive".

Explanation:

Radioactive thymidine incorporation has irremediable effects in thymine and cytosine in bacteria such as E. coli. Although there are some reports of recovery of E. coli from UV-irradiation DNA damage, the presence of radioactive bases such as thymine is often irremediable. Therefore, after a dividing culture of E. coli exposed to radioactive thymine divides, DNA in both daughter cells would be radioactive.

Why do some plants in the tundra retain their dead leaves instead of shedding them?
Fed [463]
The best answer is B. Each year many tundra plants retain their dead leaves rather than shed them. The dead leaves insulate fragile new buds from the wind and cold. Grass tussocks are a good example of this. Many tundra plants also wear adaptive coats which are furry and waxy coatings on their leaves and stems. Fine hair or fuzz slows the wind, thus reducing drying and preserving heat. The waxy coating of many plants also help reduce water loss and evaporative cooling by the wind

What does KE= 6250J =
Kazeer [188]

The kinetic energy of 6250 J equals 6250 J work-done in stopping the object in motion.

The given parameters;

  • Kinetic energy, K.E = 6250 J

According to work-energy theorem, the work done in stopping a moving object is equal to the kinetic energy of the moving object.

Kinetic energy is the energy possessed by an object by virtue of its state of motion.

Work-done in stopping the object in motion = K.E = 6250 J.

Thus, we can conclude that the kinetic energy of 6250 J equals 6250 work-done in stopping the object in motion.

The block shown above is a cube of halite. Each side measures 3 cm. Find the volume of the cube of halite.
ddd [48]

The block shown above is a cube of halite. Each side measures 3 cm. Then the volume of the cube of halite is 27 cm³.

Explanation:

Step 1:

All the sides of the cubes are equal.

Step 2:

Given,

a= 3 cm

Step 3:

Volume of the cube = a³

                                 = 3 × 3 × 3

                                 = 27 cm³

Hence, The volume of the cube is 27 cm³
