Answer:

the answer on plato is 8

Explanation:

First you have to find the number of squirrels, being 80% of 1500.

1500 x .8 = 1200

1200 is the population of squirrels.

Next you find the density, so you will divide the population(1200) by the size of occupied area, being 150 hectares.

1200÷150=8

There are 8 squirrels per hectare.

Also I just took the test on plato and got 100%, you can trust my answer!

Population density  =number  of   individual  divided  land  area
land  area  should  be  in  square kilometers
therefore 120  ha  =120  x0.01=1.2 square kilometer  since   1 ha=0.01  kilometer  square
total  population=  (80  x  1500)/100=1200
population  density   is therefore=1200/1.2=1000

Why is it important to avoid applying too much nitrogen fertilizer?
solniwko [45]

Answer:

too much nitrogen in surface runoff can cause algae to overgrow

Nitrogen fertilizers used in large-scale agriculture could leave a legacy of pollution that would persist for decades in soil and groundwater, scientists in France and Canada warned, which published a study in the National Academy of Sciences magazine, " PNAS ". According to these scientists, the excess of these fertilizers in the environment has been linked to contaminated drinking water and can cause the rapid growth of algae that compromise aquatic ecosystems and coastal marine life.

In a study of the raw materials used for photosynthesis, what two kinds of molecules would be studied?
il63 [147K]
In a study of the raw materials used for photosynthesis, the two molecules that would be studied are carbon dioxide and water. This is because they are the reactants of the process. Without these molecules the process of photosynthesis cannot happen.

How might the poison dart frog population suddenly increase? How might this affect the ecosystem?
umka2103 [35]
If the predator that feeds off the dart frogs goes extinct or migrates to a different area then the dart fronts will have a much larger population. This means that the resources the dart frogs rely on will start to deminish and their prey will have smaller numbers

Copying genetic information from dna into rna is called __________; using the information contained in mrna to make a polypeptid
Ket [755]
Genetic information from DNA to RNA is called transcription which involves the enzyme RNA polymerase. The DNA is read from 3' to 5' in direction and produces an mRNA (messenger RNA) which contains the genetic data from the DNA. This mRNA strand is further processed in the nucleus (capping and adding a poly-A tail) before being transported to the cytoplasm.

The information contained in mRNA is used to make a polypeptide chain is called translation. This involves the use of ribosomes in the cytoplasm which attach themselves to the mRNA strand then using tRNA (transfer RNA) to add amino acids to the elongating polypeptide depending on the codon in the mRNA.

Every spring, each mature female fish of a particular species produces several million eggs. however, the total population of th
lidiya [134]
One of the reasons why the fish population remains approximately the same from one generation to the next is because not all the eggs laid will survive to adulthood. There are several factors which bring about elimination of the the newly hatched eggs. Examples of these are predators and diseases which eliminate the young offsprings at different stages before they develop into adulthood.
Secondly, production of many eggs by the different fish species leads to competition for survival. Resources such as water, food, oxygen and shelter have to be fought for and its only the fittests that will be able to survive till the reproduction stage.
