Abduction; Flexion.

When any part of the body is moved away from the median plain of the body axis,then the joint movement is called abduction. In the first case when we bring up hands laterally , hand moves away from body axis,. So, it is Abduction.

When any joint is moved in such a way that the angle between the two bones of the joint decreases i.e. the two ends of the bones come closer, then the movement is called Flexion. In the second case when we try to rub our eyes we fold the elbow, hence the angle of elbow joint decreases. So, it is an example of flexion.
