Living systems use the law of conservation of mass when a living organism dies. When the organism decomposes carbon is released and enters back into the earth. It follows the law because the mass is not being created or destroyed, but reused.
Living systems use the law of conversation of energy when an organism decomposes. Thermal energy is recycled back into the atmosphere or absorbed by other living things.
Hope this helps.

Question 1 options: The endocrine system is a network of glands located throughout the head and torso. Unlike the nervous system
yulyashka [42]

The endocrine system is a network of glands located throughout the head and torso. Unlike the nervous system which is directly wired throughout the body, endocrine organs are separate entities linked to each other via the cardiovascular system.

What is the cardiovascular system explained?

For the body to get oxygen, blood must be pushed from the heart through the circulatory system to the lungs. Following that, the heart pumps oxygenated blood through the arteries to the rest of the body. Veins bring blood that is oxygen-deficient back to the heart, where it is circulated again.

Why is cardiovascular important?

The cardiovascular system feeds the body's cells and organs with oxygen, nutrients, hormones, and other essential compounds. The body must be capable of meeting the demands of stress, exercise, and activity. It helps control body temperature among other things.

B. Case-Control

Explanation:

A case-control is a study that compares a group with an outcome of interest (cases) with a group who do not have the outcome (controls). This study aims to looks back retrospectively to compare how frequently the exposure to a risk factor is present in each group and with that to determine the relationship between that risk factor and the outcome.

So in this case, the cases are children with pervasive development disorder and the control is those without the disorders.

These studies are normally observational because no intervention is attempted.
