Native Americans had different religious beliefs than the Pilgrims that settled in America, because of that they adopted different social conducts and had a different lifestyle than white settlers. This eventually led to a separation between these two people, that eventually led to white Americans push Native Americans to accept their culture as their own so they could be “a part of society”.

Why was it important for Jews in concentration camps to look young, strong, and healthy
user100 [1]

Answer:

They needed to look strong enough to work so they would not be killed.

Explanation:

Those sick or too old automatically were taken to these gas chambers, and yes it is how it sounds. A gas chamber was a sealed room that was used for execution by poisonous gas. Some mothers used to pinch their children's cheeks to make sure they looked extra healthy. A horrifying way to die.

Why didn't the federal local governments collect an excise tax on alcohol during prohibition
astraxan [27]

For decades prior to the Prohibition (i.e., the legal ban of alcoholic drinks) made possible by the Eighteen Amendment, different Christian churches and organizations had been objecting to the consumption of alcohol since they considered it as the source of most debauchery and moral decadence. Their goal was made clear to the federal government: alcohol should be completely banned in order to clean society up. An excise tax on alcohol would have been rejected by all the moralistic groups advocating for prohibition as a mild and ineffective measure

Which statement best describes the historical significance of the Declaration of Independence? It contains different colonists’
AlexFokin [52]

Answer:

The historical significance of the Declaration of Independence is that it describes why the colonists wanted to be free from Britain and what led to their decision to fight against British rule.

Explanation:

The Declaration of Independence of the United States of America is a document drafted by the Second Continental Congress on July 4, 1776, which proclaimed that the Thirteen Colonies - then at war with the Kingdom of Great Britain - had defined themselves as thirteen new sovereign and independent States and now they did not recognize British rule; instead they formed a new nation: the United States. John Adams was one of the politicians who undertook the independence process, approved on July 2 by the full Congress without opposition. A committee was responsible for drafting the formal statement, which was presented when Congress voted on it two days later.

The document justified the independence of the United States by enumerating the colonial claims against King George III and affirming certain natural and legal rights, including the right of revolution.
