Look in Unit 2 Lesson 5 pages 4-5 but here's a few

-It was originally part of the Imperial Spanish Viceroyalty of New Spain.

-It was named in 1563 and renamed in 1581 by Spanish explorers because it had rich culture of the Mexica Empire.

-It was named a couple centuries before Mexico.

-It was the original home for two large population called the Pueblo and Navajo, they still live there today.

-Albuquerque is the largest city in New Mexico.

-It contains 1/4 of the population.

-it has over 500,00 people in that city alone.

-It's six times larger than Las Cruces, which is the next largest city in the state.

-In Albuquerque in October they have a 9 day International Balloon Festival.

-About 750 balloons fill the sky during the celebration.

-It's the worlds largest balloon Festival.
