Not sure how to answer this other than that a tool is used in action, a tool is an object, a tool is used by someone, and a hammer is a tool that someone uses. Other analogies for a hammer could be pound but in this case when linking it to a tool that’s all I can come up with. Hopefully it helps!

Which of the following is an example of the foot-in-the-door method of asking for change?
egoroff_w [7]
The foot-in-the-door method is basically a psychological method where you ask for a small request first, then a bigger one later. So I think it's A, just because the others don't work. B is just straight up asking for a big favor, C is providing you with the "must-do" effect, and D is simply a favor for a favor.

Tim has been brainstorming ideas, getting ready to write a paper about his best friend, Gerardo.
mihalych1998 [28]

Answer:

If Tim wants his readers to understand what makes Gerardo unique, the idea he should include is:

1. Gerardo speaks three languages.

Explanation:

We can find the correct answer through elimination. Options 2, 3, and 4 are not about characteristics that make Gerardo unique. Actually, they are about things Gerardo and Tim have in common, characteristics that they share. To indicate Gerardo's uniqueness, Tim must mention something different about him, something that distinguishes him from others, including from Tim himself. In that case, the best option is number 1. Gerardo's language skills are something that makes him unique, something that distinguishes him from most people.
