Multiply the functions
(x^2-2x+2)(x-3)=
(x^2-2x+2)(x)+(-3)(x^2-2x+2)=
(x^3-2x^2+2x)+(-3x^2+6x-6)=
x^3-2x^2+2x-3x^2+6x-6=
x^3-2x-3x^2+2x+6x-6=
x^3-5x^2+8x-6

f(x)g(x)=x^3-5x^2+8x-6

On sunday, Kristen bought a carton of 24 bottles of water On monday, Kristen drank 1/6 on tuesday kristen drank 1/4
Deffense [45]
Kristen drank 1/6 of the 24
so 24/6= 4
24 - 4= 20

There’s 20 left

Then 1/4 of 20 was consumed

So 20/4= 5
20 - 5= 15

There are 15 bottles left.

The difference of two numbers is 15.Five times the smaller is the same as 9 less than twice the larger.Find the numbers
Lana71 [14]

Answer:

small number = -3

large number = 12

Step-by-step explanation:

Suppose two numbers are x and y

smaller number = x

larger number = y

Given that,

The difference of two numbers is 15

Equation 1

y - x = 15

Five times the smaller is the same as 9 less than twice the larger.

Equation 2

5x = 9 - 2y

Solve them

-x = 15 - y

x = y -15

put value of x in equation 2

5(y - 15) = 9 - 2y

-75 + 5y = 9 - 2y

-75 - 9 = -2y - 5y

-84 = -7y

y = 84/7

y = 12

x = 12 - 15

x = -3

PtichkaEL [24]
$4.25 + $1.50 = $5.75= 2 miles
10 x $1.50 = $15.00=10 miles
10 + 2 = 12 miles
$5.75 + $15.00 = $20.75
