You can do a quick multiplication: 0.3 x $500 = $150.

You can also do it in your head - you know 30% of 100 is 30, so if you have 5 100's then 30% of that is 5 30's, or 150.

Determine the domain of the function, and choose the correct interval and inequality notations,
pickupchik [31]

Answer:

<u></u>

  • <u>See below</u>

Explanation:

Determining the <em>domain</em> of the function P(x) = 2x + 8 is very trivial and does not require the uses of separate intervals.

The domain of a function is the set of input values (x) for which the function is defined. Thus, the domain of P(x) = 2x + 8 is all the real number, which in interval notaion is:

  • (- ∞, ∞)

The symbol ∞ is used to indicate that there is not limit for the value of x: it can goe from any negative number to any positive number).

For didactic purposes let's determine the domain of the function

P(x) = 2/(x+8).

In this case, the function is not defined when the denominator equals 0.

Then, the domain excludes the values for which x + 8 = 0.

  • x + 8 = 0 ⇒ x = - 8.

Then, the solution is all the real numbers different to - 8.

In <em>interval notation</em> it is:

  • (- ∞, -8) ∪ (-8, ∞)

In form of <em>inequaliy</em> that is:

  • x < - 8 ∪ x > - 8

That means, all the real numbers less than - 8 and all the real numbers greater than 8.

A car can be rented for $50 per week plus $0.75 per milo. How many miles can be driven if you have at most $140 to spend for woo
avanturin [10]

Answer: 120 Miles

Step-by-step explanation:

We start with $140.

The initial payment is $50.

$140 - $50 = $90

We now have $90 dollars to spend on miles.

$90/$0.75 per mil = 120 Miles

Using the remaining $90 we can drive 120 miles in a week.

How many irrational numbers are there between 1 and 6 ?
Neporo4naja [7]
<span>Irrational numbers are numbers that cannot be expressed or represented as a ratio of two integers. Thus, the answer is K. Infinite many because there are infinite numbers that can be found between numbers 1 to 6; numbers that cannot be expressed as repeating decimals or so.

Think that between numbers 1 to 2 , there are many irrational numbers between same in numbers 2 to 3 , 3 to 4, 4 to 5 and 5 to 6.
Thus, There are infinite numbers of irrational number between numbers  1 to 6</span>

PLEASEE HELP ME IM VERY CONFUSED ON THIS!!!
Anastasy [175]
SIDE LENGTH OF TRIANGLE: 2.14 inches
SIDE LENGTH OF HEXAGON: 6 inches

To solve this problem, we know that the shapes have equal sides as it states “equilateral triangle”. A triangle has 3 sides and a hexagon has 6 sides. We are told the perimeters are the same so you can set their perimeters equal to each other to solve for x. You would get this : 3(1.4x + 2) = 6(0.5x +2)
With basic algebra you would get x= 5
Then you substitute that value into the length sides of the triangle and hexagon. For the triangle you would approx get 2.14 inches and for the hexagon 6 inches
