Nucleotide, gene, DNA, chromosome

Nucleotides are the building blocks of nucleic acids (such as DNA and RNA), and are made up of a nucleoside that is joined to a phosphate group.

Genes are an important sequence of nucleotides, and small part of DNA that contains information for a specific protein.

DNA is a genetic material that stores information as a code which is composed of four chemical bases (adenine (A), guanine (G), cytosine (C), and thymine (T)).

Chromosomes are thread-like structures in which DNA molecule (nucleic acid) and protein (histones) are packaged in the cell’s nucleus. Chromosomes functions by carrying genetic information in the form of genes.

In the Hardy-Weinberg principle, the actual number values of p and q will not change if five specific conditions are being met.
JulsSmile [24]

In the Hardy-Weinberg principle, the values of p and q will not change if evolution is not occurring.

What is the Hardy-Weinberg principle?

The Hardy-Weinberg principle is a model used in population genetics to estimate genotypic and allele frequencies in a population.

The Hardy-Weinberg principle states that allele and genotypic frequencies remain constant in absence of evolutionary forces.

These evolutionary forces include nonrandom mating, gene drift, gene flow, mutation and natural selection.

Parasympathetic system is known as a system for stimulation of "rest-and-digest", when the body is at rest (differ than sympathetic which is active for fight-or-flight response). Parasympathetic system works usually after the meal and it is involved in the functions such as, secretory activities (salivation, lacrimation ), urination, digestion and defecation..
