As of today, the exchange rate was one British Pound is worth 1.32 American dollars. That means that if you go to the Bank of England and hand them a 10 pound note (is there such a thing?), you will get 13 dollars and 20 pennies (American) back.

So here's the formula

American money = British pounds * 1.32.

Diameter of a cone base is 5 cm and a slant height is 4M find surface area
Nutka1998 [239]

Hi there!

The total surface area (tsa) of a cone can be calculated with this formula :

TSA = (\pi × r × slant height) + \pi × r²

The "r" stands for "radius". The radius is equal to half the diameter, so in order to be able to use the formula, you'll need to divide the diameter by 2 to find the radius :

5 ÷ 2 = 2.5 = radius

Since the slang height is in meters, you'll need to transform it into centimeters in order to have both values in centimeters. To do so you'll need to use the cross product method :

1 m = 100 cm

4 m = x cm

(100 × 4) ÷ 1 = x cm

400 ÷ 1 = x cm

400 = x cm → The slant height is 400cm.

Now replace all the information in the formula and calculate everything :

TSA = (\pi × 2.5 × 400) + (\pi × 2.5²)

TSA = (\pi × 1,000) + (\pi × 6.25)

TSA ≅ 3,141.59 + 19.63

TSA ≅ 3,161.22 cm²

There you go! I really hope this helped, if there's anything just let me know! :)

I=? p=500 r=8% t=3 months 3/12 what is I
olga nikolaevna [1]

Answer:

i=40

Step-by-step explanation:

i is the interest. So to find i we will multiply their pay by the rate.

500 x 8% or .08

500 x .08=40

So the interest of this equation (or i) is 40

(15 Points) Indicate the general rule for the arithmetic sequence with a3 = -4 and a8 = -29.
serious [3.7K]

Step-by-step explanation:

a_3 = - 4

a_3 = a* + (3- 1) d*

- 4 = a + 2d . . . . . . . . .(i)

a_8 = - 29

a_8 = a + ( 8 - 1) d

- 29 = a + 7d . . . . . . . . (ii)

subtracting equations (i) and (ii)

25 = 5d

d = -5

placing d = -5 in equation (i)

a - 10 = -4

a = 6

For an arithmetic Progtession

a_n = a + (n - 1)d

a_n = 6 + (n- 1)-5

a_n = 6 - 5n + 5

\underline {a_n = 11 - 5n }

\\

*\boxed{ \mathfrak { a \:stands\: for\: first\: term  } }

*\boxed{ \mathfrak { d \:stands\: for\: common \: difference }  }

What is the value of x?<br><br> What is the value of y?
Rudik [331]

Answer:

Y= 20

X= 25

Step-by-step explanation:

The angles of a triangle have to equal 180

So

80+60 = 140

180 - 140 = 40

40/2 = 20

Y = 20

The angles of a linear line split equal 180

So

2y is one side of it which we learned Y = 20 which makes that side 40

To find the other side just guess and check

6(25) = 150

150 - 10 = 140

So the 2y = 40 and the (6x-10) = 140

So yea boom done

Do someone know this answer and can you show work ?
Vera_Pavlovna [14]
The answers are x=2 and y=5. 2(2)=4. 4+5=8. y=x-7 then is converted into 5=2-7.
