A genotype is controlled by the sex cells combining to form an organism. True or False
myrzilka [38]

True

A genotype is the combination of genes in its DNA of the organism that determines its traits

Explanation:

Gametes from parents contribute different alleles of genes to their offspring. This why gametes carry only one copy of genetic material of the organism. They later fuse to form a zygote with a full genetic copy and capable of developing into an full organism.

Depending on which kind of alleles the parents pass down to the offspring will determine the offspring's genotype. The genotype of the offspring will, on the other hand, affect its phenotype which is the outward characteristic. An example is the sickle cell trait. If both gametes from the parents contribute the recessive alleles of the gene, then the offspring will be homozygous recessive for sickle cell genotype and this will show in the phenotype pf the person who will have sickle cell shaped blood cells.

How the process of natural selection canexplainhow evolution occurs?
harkovskaia [24]
In natural selection, there are three main things you need to know. There must be a variance in the genepool of course, or else to selection or evolution will take place. There also must be a selective force and time. Now, lets say that there is a population of many colored moths. But lets say that the brown colored moth blends in with the environment. This means that predators (selective force in this case) will have a much harder time finding these brown moths instead of easily finding some of the other colored moths (variation). This means that the brown moths will survive at a much higher rate because the are harder to find, and over time, the gene pool will narrow down to just brown moths because the rest of the moths die out due to predators and competition. This also means that this moth species has evolved over time to just become the brown colored moths only. Hope you can understand this but feel free to ask for clarification.

The mass of an object is always
iVinArrow [24]

Answer:

equal to the sum of its parts.

Explanation:

Required

Which option answers the question?

The mass of an object is the total amount of matter in that object. When the term total amount in describing a concept, it means the summation of all its constituents.

In fact, that is the reason why the mass of an object is always constant because it is independent on gravity.

Take for instance, a brick.

Every part of the brick contribute to the mass of that brick and whenever the brick loses some of its part, either through wear and tear or any other means, the brick loses the mass of the lost part.

Hence, from the list of given options; option B is correct.
