Mesothelioma is a rare cancer primarily linked with asbestos exposure, and it is overwhelmingly a male disease. This is largely because most asbestos exposures occur in blue-collar jobs, traditionally male-dominated work settings. Also, the cancer affects men three to four times more than women. However, most women who develop the fatal disease had secondary or environmental exposure to asbestos. Some experience direct contact with the mineral while on the job, and a few develop the disease without any known exposure.

What did Tammany Hall precinct captain Plunkitt expect in return for providing such help for people?
Murrr4er [49]

If there's a fire in Ninth, Tenth, or Eleventh Street, for example, any hour of the day or night, I'm usually there . . . . If a family is burned out I don't ask them whether they are Republicans or Democrats and I don't refer them to the Charity Organization Society, which would investigate their case in a month or two and would decide they were worthy of help about the time they are dead from starvation. I just get [a place to live] for them, buy clothes for them . . . and fix them up till they get things runnin' again."

Answer:

Their political loyalty

Explanation:

George Washington Plunkitt was a politician known for his membership and a leader of the Tammany Hall political organization. He was also known for his time and exploits at the New York state legislatures. In his Series of Very Plain Talks on Very Practical Politics, George Washington Plunkitt specifically made the above statement in the hope to get the political loyalty of people.

Give an example of an advance in medicine that came about during the Islamic Golden Age and explain how it had an effect on mode
Norma-Jean [14]

Answer:

Islamic doctors developed new techniques in medicine, dissection, surgery and pharmacology. They founded the first hospitals, introduced physician training and wrote encyclopedias of medical knowledge.

Early Islamic medical centers would be recognizable as hospitals today: they had wards for different diseases, outpatient clinics, surgery recovery wards and pharmacies. They also functioned as medical education centers for doctor training.

Islamic hospitals pioneered the use of antiseptics such as alcohol, vinegar or rose-water in cleaning wounds. Everything was to be kept as clean as possible.

Islamic pharmacies, called saydalas, began at the same time as the hospitals, in the late 700s, as part of the Islamic health care system.

Explanation:

I hope that helps!
