Answer:

14.82%

Explanation:

The standard deviation of a portfolio is the \sqrt{variance }

standard deviation of stock X = 25%

standard deviation of stock Y = 16%

weight of X = 50%

weight of Y = 50%

correlation coefficient = 0

therefore portfolio standard deviation

= \sqrt{Wx^{2} } Sdx^{2} + Wy ^{2}Sdy^{2}+2Wx*Sdx * Sdy* Wy *R    -- equation 1

Wx = weight of stock x

Wy = weight of stock y

Sdx = standard deviation of stock x

Sdy = standard deviation of stock y

R = correlation coefficient

back to equation 1

\sqrt{(0.5^{2} }*0.25^{2}  ) + (0.5^{2}*0.16^{2}) + ( 2 * 0.5 *0.25 *0.16*0.5 *0 )

= \sqrt{0.015625 + 0.0064}   = \sqrt{0.022025}

therefore standard deviation of new portfolio = 0.1482 = 14.82%

Answer:

The portfolio standard deviation is 14.82%

Explanation:

The portfolio standard deviation would be calculated by finding out the variance of the portfolio and taking the square root of it.

Variance of the portfolio = [(1 - .50)^{2} x 0.25^{2}] + [0.50^{2} x 0.16^{2}] + [2 x (1 - 0.50) x 0.50 x 0.25 x 0.16 x 0]

= [0.25 x 0.0625] + [0.25 x 0.0256] + [0]

= 0.015625 + 0.0064

VarPort = 0.022025

Std DevPort  = √0.022025

Std DevPort = 0.1482 = 14.82 percent

rewona [7]

Answer:

The answer is "5.4% and 15,23,500".

Explanation:

Calculating the capital cost:

=(1-\frac{1}{1.46})\times 10.91\% \times (1-39\%)+(\frac{1}{1.46})\times 4.84\% \\\\=(\frac{1.46-1}{1.46})\times \frac{10.91}{100} \times (\frac{100-39}{100})+(\frac{1}{1.46})\times \frac{4.84}{100} \\\\ =(\frac{0.46}{1.46})\times \frac{10.91}{100} \times (\frac{61}{100})+(\frac{1}{1.46})\times \frac{4.84}{100} \\\\=\frac{306.1346}{14600}+\frac{4.84}{146} \\\\=  0.021+0.033 \\\\ =0.054\\\\= 5.4\%

Maximum amount to be spent

=\frac{277,000\times 100 }{5.4} \times (1-\frac{1}{(1.054)^7})\\\\=\frac{277,000\times 100 }{5.4} \times (1-\frac{1}{1.44})\\\\=\frac{277,000\times 100 }{5.4} \times (1-0.7)\\\\=277,000 \times 100\times 0.055\\\\=\$15,23,500\\

Answer: The answer is $1,092,865.5426

To the nearest whole dollar, we have:

$1,092,866

Explanation: from the question above, we will be calculating the present value of a cashflow of $93,000 over a period of 20 years, at a rate of 5.76%.

We will be performing a discounting operation.

What might you send to people who buy a house with no water?
g100num [7]
It is a well-known fact that water is a basic need of a human being in order to survived. Generally, a person is known to survive for only 3 days without water. Thus, the best thing that I would send to a person who bought a house with no water is any amount of water which will allow them to survive until they procure their own supply.
