Answer:
My alarm woke me from my pleasant dreams. I groaned and rolled over snoozing it, I had previously been up the night before doing homework and watching a movie. That was all I did anymore. I sighed against my pillow that I had bought online. Well I also did a lot of online shopping. My alarm began to beep at me again and I rolled over turning it off once again. I picked up my phone and wiped my eyes before putting on my glasses. When I opened my phone it said I had 50 new messages. "What?" I squinted at my phone, "What happened now? If I have been exposed again.." I trail off but then see all the texts and gasp. "What?" I read a few quickly before rushing to my social media apps to check if its true. "If this is a prank, it isn't going to be funny." I quickly learn it is not and could not be more excited yet surprised. I questioned why the pandemic was over so fast, it took forever to hit its peak how did it just end? I immediately made plans with my friends and family. We were going to do everything we could to celebrate. Have a party, go to a restaurant, visit our college campus and not wear masks. I would shower and dress in by best clothes which I had bought online. I would curl my hair for the first time in who knows how long and put on a little makeup. I would text everyone I know to saying, 'Let's meet. " I would excitedly get to hug everyone I had not in so long. Eventually I would go back to live school and resume my everyday hikes. I would be able to work again and see the people who I am helping. I wouldn't have to get constant tests. I would see my friends as often as I could and me and my family would travel.

We can say the following when it comes to how different genres affect the way an author presents theme:
- Different genres will have different essential characteristics and elements. Such elements will shape the story, the characters, and the conflicts. Even if the theme underlying the works is the same, the way it will be brought to life will be different.
- For example, let's think of the genre called drama. Inside drama, we have the sub-genres comedy and tragedy. A comedy and a tragedy will approach the theme of love in very different ways. While the characters in the tragedy will suffer greatly and might not even end up together, they are likely to have lighter forms of conflict and stay together in a comedy.

What is theme?

- Theme is the main idea or message behind a literary work. The same work can have several themes.

What is genre?

- A genre is a category of literary work that has a certain style, some essential elements and characteristics. Examples of genre are: drama, prose, and poetry.
- There are also sub-genres inside each genre. For example, in drama, we have comedy, tragedy, musical, and history.

How does genre affect theme?

- The same theme will be approached differently in different genres. The essential elements and style of a genre will help shape the conflicts the characters go through and, consequently, the plot.
- In a comedy, characters are likely to go through absurd situations and lighter forms of conflict. On the other hand, in a tragedy, characters are likely to cry and suffer more, and to not have a happy ending.
