Because it shows that black people had to walk a mile, on the bridge and then they cross over to be on the bus. And Mr. Nixon went down to the bus company to the protest. He always want to go down to the bus company to protest: sometimes he had to walk by himself, And sometimes he need find a person to take him to the bus. He did not like to be on the bus:-he had his own car; but he was acting on the behalf of the community. And the bus company told him that is long as the people will waiting for. To walk a mile, and then pay to the rest of the ride of the downtown, they will had no need extend to the bus.
