There were multiple agreements reached during the Cold War in regards to arms control.
1) Strategic Arms Limitation Treaty #1- This first agreement between the United States and the Soviet Union dealt with limiting the amount of long-range ballistic missiles armed with nuclear weapons.
2)Strategic Arms Limitation Treaty #2- This second agreement between the United States and Soviet Union dealt with limiting the number of strategic launchers.
