First you convert centimeters to meters which will be 35 centimeters-> 0.35 meters

Once you have that, you multiply String A's length (0.35 m) by 5 to find String B's length which will be 1.75 meters.

Now that you have the two lengths you multiply each by 17.

17 x 1.75 = 29.75 and 17 x 0.35 = 5.95

Now you just add 29.75 and 5.95 and you get your answer which is

35.7 meters

Lera25 [3.4K]

Answer:

\left\begin{array}{ccc}A\left( \boxed{3}  , \boxed{8} \right)&B\left( \boxed{9}  , \boxed{6} \right )\\\\C\left( \boxed{1}  ,  \boxed{4} \right)&D\left( \boxed{7}  ,  \boxed{2} \right )\end{array}\right

Step-by-step explanation:

The coordinates are:

\left\begin{array}{ccc}A\left( \boxed{3}  , \boxed{8} \right)&B\left( \boxed{9}  , \boxed{6} \right )\\\\C\left( \boxed{1}  ,  \boxed{4} \right)&D\left( \boxed{7}  ,  \boxed{2} \right )\end{array}\right

The parallelogram is attached below.

To verify if these coordinates form a parallelogram, we show that:

  • AB=CD; and
  • AC=BD

Using Distance Formula

AB = \sqrt{(6-8)^2+(9-3)^2} = \sqrt{(-2)^2+(6)^2} = \sqrt{40} $ units

CD = \sqrt{(2-4)^2+(7-1)^2} = \sqrt{(-2)^2+(6)^2} = \sqrt{40} $ units

AC = \sqrt{(8-4)^2+(3-1)^2} = \sqrt{(4)^2+(2)^2} = \sqrt{20} $ units

BD = \sqrt{(6-2)^2+(9-7)^2} = \sqrt{(4)^2+(2)^2} = \sqrt{20} $ units

Since AB=CD; and AC=BD, the coordinates A, B, C, and D form the vertex of a parallelogram.

wlad13 [49]

Answer:

15.7 inches

Step-by-step explanation:

A clock is a circle .  It tells us that the radius of the circle is 2.5 inches, and it is asking for the circumference.  Therefore, we can use the equations for a circle to solve for the circumference.

Circumference=2\pi r\\C = 2 \pi (2.5)\\C = 15.708

Alberto’s monthly income is $3,200. Part of Alberto’s monthly budget is shown in the table.
Sladkaya [172]

Using the percentage concept, it is found that 40% of Alberto’s income is used to pay for his rent and groceries.

<h3>What is a percentage?</h3>

The percentage of an amount a over a total amount b is given by a multiplied by 100% and divided by b, that is:

P = \frac{a}{b} \times 100\%

In this problem:

  • Alberto’s monthly income is $3,200, hence b = 3200.
  • He spends 896 + 384 = $1280 in rent and groceries, hence a = 1280.

Then, the percentage is given by:

P = \frac{1280}{3200} \times 100\% = 40\%
