The line that goes through the midpoint of the circle and cuts it into two equal halves is called the diameter (d) (the black line).

You diameter is 14cm long and to find the area of circle you need radius (r).

d=14\mathrm{cm}

Radius is defined as d/2 (a half of diameter).

r=\dfrac{d}{2}=\dfrac{14\mathrm{cm}}{2}=7\mathrm{cm}

Now that we know the radius we can calculate area

A=\pi r^2\approx3.14\cdot(7\mathrm{cm})^2\approx\boxed{153.86\mathrm{cm^2}}

Hope this helps.

1. (SLO) Simplify the expression: 6(b-7)
Sav [38]

1 → B

multiply each term in the parenthesis by the 6 outside

6(b-7) = 6b - 42

2 → D

multiply each term in the parenthesis by the 3 outside

3(4x+6y+2) = 12x+18y+6

3 → A

the value outside the parenthesis is -1, hence each term inside is multiplied by -1

-1(6x+5y) = -6x -5y

Alenkinab [10]
2x + x = 180
This is because 2x is on one side while x is on the other, if those two angles add up they must add up to 180 because the two angles form a 180 degree angle or just a straight line
2x + x = 180
3x = 180
x = 60
