If cash prizes are to be avoided, then . . .

-- The first prize has to be a car.

-- The second prize can be a motorbike or a trip ... 2 possibilities.
For each of those . . .

-- The third prize has to be a TV.

Since there's no choice with the first or third prizes,
I only see two different ways to avoid a cash prize.

What is 7x + 6 +2x = 60 .
Aloiza [94]

Answer:

x = 6

Step-by-step explanation:

7x + 6 + 2x = 60 \\9x + 6 = 60

add -6 to both sides

9x + 6 - 6 = 60 - 6 \\9x = 54

Divide both sides by 9

\frac{9x}{9} = \frac{54}{9}

x = 6

Bradley and Louie are roommates at college. At the beginning of the semester, they each paid a security deposit of A
Pie

An expression that describes how much each person will receive from the landlord when the lease expires is; A - (B/2) = R. And the amount received by each person as described is; $100

Since, Bradley and Louie are expected to each pay a security deposit of A;

  • In essence, amount paid by each person is; A

Since, the total expenses = B and is to be shared by Bradley and Louie equally; we have;

  • Each person pays expenses charge; B/2.

An expression that describes how much each person will receive from the landlord when the lease expires is;

  • <em>A - (B/2) = R</em>.

Ultimately, when each person pays, A = $125 and damages charge = $50;

The amount received by each person is;

  • R = 125 - (50/2)

R = $100

If dy/dx=4y and y=4 when x=0, then y=. A) 4e^4x. B) e^4x. C) 3+e^4x. D) 4+e^4x. e) 2x^2+4
aliina [53]
Hello,

dy/dx=4==>dy/y=4dx==>ln(y)=4x+C
==>y=k*e^(4x)
if x=0 y=4==>4=k*e^(4*0)==>k=4

==>y=4*e^(4x)

Which logarithmic equation is equivalent to the exponential equation below?
aleksandr82 [10.1K]

Option B: \ln 6=5 x is the correct answer.

Explanation:

The exponential equation is e^{5 x}=6

If f(x)=g(x), then \ln (f(x))=\ln (g(x))

Thus, the equation becomes

\ln \left(e^{5 x}\right)=\ln (6)

Applying log rule, \log _{a}\left(x^{b}\right)=b \cdot \log _{a}(x) and thus the equation becomes

5 x \ln (e)=\ln (6)

Since, we know that, \ln (e)=1, using this we get,

5 x=\ln (6)

Hence, the logarithmic equation which is equivalent to the exponential equation e^{5 x}=6 is \ln 6=5 x

Thus, Option B is the correct answer.
