Value?  Unclear what you mean.  i think you're asking to multiply x(5x)(3x+12).  That won't give you a value, but rather an expression.

x*5x comes to 5x^2.
Then   5x^2(3x+12) comes to 15x^3 + 60x^2 (answer)

Andre went hiking near his house. The first trail he hiked on took him 4.5 miles away from his house. The second trail he hiked t
alukav5142 [94]

Answer: He is 3.8 miles away from his house.

Explanation :

Distance the first trail took him away = (+) 4.5 miles

( We will show it with positive sign as it increase the distance away from the house)

Distance the second trail took him closer = (-) 2.4 miles

(We will show it with negative sign as it decreases the distance)

Distance the third trail took him far away = (+) 1.7 miles

Now , total distance = 4.5-2.4+1.7

                                  = 3.8 miles

∴  He is 3.8  miles far his house.

If m=3 = what is the value of 3m?
Bond [772]

Answer: 9

Step-by-step explanation:

M=3 and the equation is 3m so your going to multiply. So the equation would be 3*3 and 3*3=9 so that's your answer

Write the equation of a circle with center (-3, 5) and a point on the circle is (1, 8).
ludmilkaskok [199]

Answer:

(x + 3)^2 + (y - 5)^2 = 5^2

Step-by-step explanation:

Well, the center origin of the circle is given (h,k) =  (-3,5).

Point on the circle is (x,y) = (1,8)

We have to find our radius as they gave us a point. from origin to the edge of the circle.

Using the formula: (x - h)^2 + (y - k)^2 = r^2

Plug in our (h,k) = (-3,5) and (x,y) =  (1,8) to solve for radius.

(x - h)^2 + (y - k)^2 = r^2

(1 - (-3))^2 + (8 - (5))^2 = r^2

(4)^2 + (3)^2 = r^2

16 + 9 = r^2

r^2 = 25

r = 5

Find the standard equation of the circle defined by the equation x^2 + y^2 +8x - 12y + 43 = 0. ANSWERS ATTACHED, due in 2 HOURS,
puteri [66]

Answer:

Solution: Option C

Step-by-step explanation:

Our goal here is to factor the expression such that it is converted into the circle equation (x - a)² + (y - b)² = r² where r = radius centered at point (a,b).

x^2\:+\:y^2\:+8x\:-\:12y\:+\:43\:=\:0 (Factor the expression "x² + 8x")

x^2+8x = x\left(x+8\right) (Factor the expression "y² - 12y")

\:y^2-12y =y\left(y-12\right)

That leaves us with the expression \left(x-\left(-4\right)\right)^2+\left(y-6\right)^2=3^2, or in other words (x+4)^2 +(y-6)^2 = 9. As you can see our solution is option c.
