Answer:

104.127 m

Step-by-step explanation

In the question instead of chi, it would be kite.

Given: Distance of Brooke from the base of tree is 50 meters.

The kite is directly above the 10 m tree in the 125 m string is fully extended.

Lets assume the height of the kite be "x".

Its making the Right angle triangle with length of string as hypotenuse, height of kite above tree.

Using Pythagorean formula:

h²= a²+b²

⇒125^{2} = 50^{2} + (x)^{2}

⇒15625 = 2500+ (x)^{2}

⇒ 15625 = 2500+ x^{2}

Subtracting both side by 2500

⇒ 13025 = x^{2}

Square rooting both side, we know√a²=a

⇒ \sqrt{13025} =x

∴ x= 114.127 meter.

Next, we know the value of x include the height of tree.

∴ Height of kite flying above tree= x-10\ m

⇒ Height of kite flying above tree= 114.127-10= 104.127\ m

Hence, the height of kite above the tree is 104.127 meters.

julsineya [31]
<h3>Answer:</h3>

8/13

<h3>Step-by-step explanation:</h3>

Given in the question

Ratio of sandwiches white bread to brown bread is 10 : 3

white bread fraction = 10/13

brown bread fraction = 3/13

It is also provided that

2/3 white are vegetarian

1/2 brown are vegetarian

So

for white bread vegetables sandwich we will find 2/3 of 10

    20/3/13

for brown bread vegetable sandwich we will find 1/2 of 3

    3/2/13

adding both

 20/3/13 + 3/2/13

 8/13 (approximate)
