Answer:

Semicircle = \frac{\pi x d }{2} + d

semicircle = \frac{\pi x 20 }{2} + 20

semicircle = 51.4

∴ the perimeter is 14 + 32 + 51.4

∴ The perimeter is 97.4 cm

Area 1 = \pi r^{2}

Area 1 = 20 ÷ 2 = 10

Area 1 = \pi 10^{2}

Area 1 = 314.2

Area 2 = 14 × 32 = 448

Area = Area 1 + Area 2

Area = 762.2cm²

Karen has $30, Rafael has $75 and Shen has $25.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given,

Total amount they have = $130

Let,

Amount of Karen = x

Amount of Rafael = y

Amount of Shen = z

According to given statement;

x+y+z=130    Eqn 1

Shen has $5 less than what Karen have.

z = x-5     Eqn 2

Rafael has 3 times what Shen has;

y = 3z     Eqn 3

Putting value of z from Eqn 2 in Eqn 3

y=3(x-5)\\y=3x-15\ \ \ \ Eqn\ 4

Putting value of y and z from Eqn 4 and 2 in Eqn 1

x+(3x-15)+(x-5)=130\\x+3x-15+x-5=130\\5x-20=130\\5x=130+20\\5x=150

Dividing both sides by 5

\frac{5x}{5}=\frac{150}{5}\\x=30

Putting x = 30 in Eqn 2

z=30-5\\z=25

Putting z=25 in Eqn 3

y=3(25)\\y=75

Karen has $30, Rafael has $75 and Shen has $25.

Answer:

<h2>Q1. Yes</h2><h2>Q2. b = 12/5</h2>

Step-by-step explanation:

\text{We have}\ a=7,\ b=24,\ c=25.\\\\\text{Substitute to}\ a^2+b^2=c^2:\\\\L_s=7^2+24^2=49+576=625\\\\R_s=25^2=625\\\\L_s=R_s\\\\\boxed{YES}

\text{Use the Pythagorean theorem.}\\\\a^2+b^2=c^2\\\\a=1,\ c=\dfrac{13}{5}\\\\\text{Substitute:}\\\\1^2+b^2=\left(\dfrac{13}{5}\right)^2\\\\1+b^2=\dfrac{169}{25}\qquad\text{subtract 1 from both sides}\\\\b^2=\dfrac{169}{25}-1\\\\b^2=\dfrac{169}{25}-\dfrac{25}{25}\\\\b^2=\dfrac{144}{25}\to b=\sqrt{\dfrac{144}{25}}\\\\b=\dfrac{\sqrt{144}}{\sqrt{25}}\\\\b=\dfrac{12}{5}
