I found the image of this problem.

Rectangle : Length is 10 inches. Width is 6 inches.

The side where the right angle was cut off had a rectangle length of 8.5 inches, and a rectangle width of 4.5 inches.

Area of the whole rectangle = 10 inches * 6 inches
A = 60 square inches.

Measure of the triangle:
base: 10 inches - 8.5 inches = 1.5 inches
height: 6 inches - 4.5 inches = 1.5 inches

Area of the triangle = 1/2 * b * h
A = 1/2 *  1.5 in * 1.5 in
A = 1/2 * 2.25 sq. inches
A = 1.125 sq. inches

Area of the remaining part of the rectangle :

A = 60 sq. inches - 1.125 sq. inches
A = 58.875 sq. inches   CHOICE C.) 58.875 sq. inches

2)<br> A circle has a radius of 8 cm. What is its circumference?<br> 8 cm
egoroff_w [7]

Answer

16π cm ≈ 50.2655 cm

Step-by-step explanation

To find the circumference of a circle, we can use the equation C = 2πr.

C stands for the circumference while r stands for the radius. We can see that there is a proportional positive linear relationship between radius and circumference for all circles, and that to find circumference when we have a radius value, we multiply the radius value by 2π.

The value of π, also called pi, is a constant and is the ratio of a circle's circumference to its diameter (the diameter is twice the radius, hence the 2 in the equation). Note that π is a constant and applies to all circles because all circles are similar.

Since we know the value of r, or the radius, given as 8 cm in the question, we can plug this value into the equation C = 2πr from earlier.

C = 2πr (plug in 8 cm for the radius)

C = 2π * 8

C = 16π cm

Since the radius is in units of cm (centimeters), the circumference is also in units of cm (centimeters).

16π cm is the exact value of the circumference. However, if we want this circumference in decimal form, we would multiply 16 by the decimal form of π which is approximately 3.1416. Note that π actually has an infinite amount of decimals and that this 3.1416 is actually a rounded π value

C = 16π

C ≈ 16 * 3.1416

C ≈ 50.2655 cm rounded to four decimal places

I answered all my work correctly but I don’t understand this one.

Take your x values in each coordinate and subtract 2, and take your y values and subtract 1.

Q (0-2), (-1-1)
= (-2,-2)

D (-2-2), (2-1)
= (-4, 1)

V (2-2), (4-1)
= (0,3)

J (3-2), (0-1)
= (1,-1)

You can also draw it on a graph and then translate all coordinates 2 units left and 1 down to see the end results.

The volume of a cone with a height of 4 cm is 12π cubic cm. What is the radius of the base?
blondinia [14]

Answer:

r = 6cm

Step-by-step explanation:

Solve for r:

v =  \frac{1}{3} \pi {r}^{2}

12\pi =  \frac{1}{3} \pi {r}^{2}  \\ 12\pi =  \frac{\pi {r}^{2} }{3}  \\ 3 \times 12\pi = \pi {r}^{2}  \\ 36\pi = \pi {r}^{2}  \\  \frac{36\pi}{\pi}  =  \frac{\pi {r}^{2} }{\pi}  \\  \sqrt{ {r}^{2} }  =  \sqrt{36}  \\ r = 6

Jon has to pay $7.50 admission for the skating rink and $1.50 per hour to rent rollerblades. Write an equation for the cost (y)
Nata [24]

Answer:

y = 7.50 + 1.50x

Step-by-step explanation:

The admission costs $7.50 and after x hours Jon has to pay $1.50*x. Then the cost y in dollars is

y = 7.50 + 1.50x where x is the number of hours.
