The sum of the areas of all three circles is 464\pi squared inches, if the smallest of the three circles with center D has a radius of 8 inches and  CB = BA = 4 inches.

Step-by-step explanation:

The given is,

                Three circles,

                Smallest circle with center D has a radius of 8 inches.

                CB = BA = 4 inches

Step:1

               Ref the attachment,

               Radius of smallest circle(DC) = 8 inches

               Radius of middles circle (DB),

                           DB = BC + DC = 4 + 8 = 12 inches

               Radius of largest circle (DA),

                              DA = AB + BC + CD = 4 + 4 + 8

                                                         DA = 16 inches

Step:2

               Formula for area of circle,

                             A = \pi r^{2}.............................(1)

               Where, r - Radius of circle

               Area of smallest circle,

                                r = 8 inches

              Equation (1) becomes,

                            A_{small} = \pi (8)^{2}

                                       = 64\pi

                            A_{small} = 64\pi squared inches

             Area of middle circle,

                                r = 12 inches

              Equation (1) becomes,

                            A_{middle} = \pi (12)^{2}

                                         = 144\pi

                             A_{middle} = 144\pi squared inches

              Area of Largest circle,

                                r = 16 inches

              Equation (1) becomes,

                            A_{largest} = \pi (16)^{2}

                                         = 256\pi

                           A_{Larger} = 256\pi squared inches

Step:3

             Sum of area of three circles  = Area of small circle

                                          + Area of middle circle + Area of larger circle

                                                              = 64\pi +  144\pi + 256\pi

                                                             = 464\pi squared inches

Result:

           The sum of the areas of all three circles is 464\pi squared inches, if the smallest of the three circles with center D has a radius of 8 inches and  CB = BA = 4 inches.

nirvana33 [79]

Answer:

The answer would be A. 1 1/5

48/40 = 1 8/40

1 8/40 Simplify to 1 1/5

V=4/3pi(r^3)

V=4/3pi(9^3)

V=3,054 inches^3

Hope this helps!!!!!!!!!

Step-by-step explanation:

from the graph attached below:

domain of graph is the value of x for which the given function profit function p(x) is defined.

(a) the domain represents the number of years for which the outlet will earn a profit.

range of profit function defines the lowest to highest value of profit earned.

(b) the range of this function is (0 , 160 ). for this function, the range represents the outlet's profit earned.

Suppose you know a certain parabola has a vertex of (2, 1) and a y-intercept of 4. By symmetry, you can conclude that the parabo
kodGreya [7K]

Answer:

A

Step-by-step explanation:

We are given a parabola with a vertex point of (2, 1) and a <em>y-</em>intercept of <em>y</em> = 4.

And we want to determine another point on the parabola.

Recall that a parabola is symmetric along the axis of symmetry, which is the <em>x-</em>coordinate of the vertex.

Note that since the <em>y-</em>intercept of the parabola is <em>y</em> = 4, this means that a point on our parabola is (0, 4).

To get from (2, 1) to (0, 4), we move two units left and three units up.

Since the parabola is symmetric along axis of symmetry, another point on the parabola will be two units right and three units up. This yields (2 + 2, 1 + 3) or (4, 4).

Our answer is A.
