A contested election means that a candidate is calling for a recount.

In many different styles of elections (state, local, national, etc.) losers can challenge the results of the election by demanding a recount. Usually, the losing candidate must be within a certain amount of votes/percentage points of the projected winner. There is also a time limit as to when this candidate can demand a recount. Usually, it needs to happen shortly after the actual election is completed.

A contested election means that the losing candidate calls for caucus. Since election also entails transparency, the losing candidate has every right to ask for a caucus, meaning, a group of people meeting to discuss a particular issue or to work together for a shared political goal.

Which example describes a liberal foreign policy?
irinina [24]

Answer: А.  A country joins a partnership to expand international trade.

Explanation:

Liberal foreign policy is one that sees a country try to spread the ideals of liberalism such as free and fair elections, individual and civil liberties and the free market and economy.

They can do this either militarily or through International organizations and partnerships that push a certain agenda. A country joining a partnership to expand international trade is therefore an example of a liberal foreign policy because it involves spreading the liberal idea of free trade.
