When the Plebeians seceded from Rome in 494BC they left all their positions in society and left the Army. All of them moved to a hill and united as a group they elected two leaders that represented them.

The Patricians noticed that the Plebeians were very important to Rome, they did not have enough number of warriors without them and did not have skilled workers.

With this, they established the Tribune of the Plebs, so they could elect a leader to represent them so they could safeguard their interests and also had the power of the veto.

They also created the Plebeian Assembly that was a permanent assembly that could be called by a tribune.
