The answer:
 z=16
How you get it:
(Move all terms that do not contain "z" to the right side)
  2=z-14
Take two and swap it with z then, instead of subtracting, add it to fourteen.
Hope I helped!

2 = z - 14
Add 14 to both sides = {14 +} 2 = z - 14 {+ 14}
z = 16

Which equation calculates the number of 1313-cup servings you can make with 4 cups of pudding?
yuradex [85]
D is the correct answer partly because it's the only equation that has the correct outcome and partly because you have to divide 1313 by 4 anyways for the answer to make sense.
number of cups you have ÷ number of cups per serving = number of servings

Trig question ———————
Stels [109]

Answer:

1) \cos(A)  = 0.948(appx)

2) \sin(A)  = 0.316(appx)

3) \tan(A)  = 0.333(appx)

Step-by-step explanation:

Using Pythagorean theorem ,

Hypotenuse =

\sqrt{ {6}^{2} +  {2}^{2}  }  =  \sqrt{36 + 4}  =  \sqrt{40}  = 2 \sqrt{10}

We know that

  • \sin( \alpha )  =  \frac{side \: opposite \: to \:  \alpha }{hypotenuse \: of \: triangle}
  • \cos( \alpha )  =  \frac{side \: adjacent \: to \:  \alpha }{hypotenuse \: of \: triangle}
  • \tan( \alpha )  =  \frac{side \: opposite \: to \:  \alpha }{side \: adjacent \: to \:  \alpha }

Where \ alpha is an angle of tge triangle.

In the triangle given above , \ alpha = angle \: A . So,

1) \cos(A) = \frac{6}{2 \sqrt{10} }  =   \frac{3}{ \sqrt{10} }  = 0.948(appx)

2) \sin(A) = \frac{2}{2 \sqrt{10} }  =   \frac{1}{ \sqrt{10} }  = 0.316(appx)

3) \tan(A) = \frac{2}{6}  =  \frac{1}{3}  = 0.333(appx)
