Answer:

There is no apparent relationship between the income level and voting habits, since there are places like Miami-Dade, that have high incomes, and tends to be more heavily Democratic. But other places with high incomes, such as Jacksonville, tends to be more heavily Republican.

There are also examples on the lower income side: Glades County, which has one of the lowest income levels in Florida, tends to be heavily Republican, while Gadsden County, which also has a low income level, tends to be heavily Democratic.

What was the purpose of literacy tests during the bourbon era?
qwelly [4]

During the bourbon era, the purpose of literacy tests was to limit the access of giving votes.

Option B is the correct answer.

Who were Bourbons?

Bourbons were the politicians of southern America that opposed the transformation initiated in the Reconstruction era and after the end of the Civil war.

The literacy tests were the medium used by the bourbons to analyze the ability of reading and writing of the voters. But in an actual sense, it was the barrier that had been used for discriminating the black people called African Americans and the poorer white people.

Therefore, the access to voting rights was restricted by initiating the literacy tests in the era of Bourbons.

We have come very far in the past centuries since the United States were formed.
Since the the United States was born technology has had many advancements that made everyday life easier from the cotton spindles and looms to Henry Fords development of the assembly line. It seemed like there was a new invention to help the blue collar man every day. The invention of the steam engine made travel easier and faster by land and water along with the invention of steam boats. Trains where the next big technological advancement because they made it easier to get to the wild west the south and the factories in the north. The telephone and telegraph made it easier to communicate with people miles away in just a few minutes. The light bulb that many of us take for granted lit up the streets of New York and many homes and businesses. Photography made it easier to have family portraits and it even made advancements in law helping to tell us who was a repeat offender.
All together these inventions made it to where we are today, they made it easier faster and safer United States. Although many have evolved into modern tools and goods they all had to have a humble beginning or we would still be using oil lamps to light up our homes and streets. so,in conclusion the advancement of technology made life easier then and now.

i hope this helps some
