half inch=15 ft so 2.5 inches=$\frac{2.5}{2}$(15)=5(15)=75 ft

half inch=15 ft so 1 inch=2(15)=30ft

Now we can rewrite our area equation: A=(75ft)(30ft)=2250 ft²
