The producers will be eaten by the prey and given energy so they can live. The predators eat the prey and is given energy from the producer the prey ate.

4. Only about 10 percent of the energy in an organism is passed on to the next level of a food chain. Look at this food chain: grass → rabbit → hawk

Only around 5%. The reason is because the grass is probably partially digested into the rabbit and that causes half the energy to go into the rabbit.
