The correct answer is D) Jefferson thought that a “hands-off” approach to the states and less power in the central government would benefit the nation.

The statement that represented the tenure of Thomas Jefferson is: Jefferson thought that a “hands- off” approach to the states and less power in the central government would benefit the nation.

Thomas Jefferson (1743-1826) was the third President of the United States from 1801-1809. Since he wrote the Declaration of Independence of the United States, he was clear on the idea that a strong Federal government was not good for the new nation because it had the risk to became a dictatorship. So he favored the idea of an anti-federalist approach of the government. We could say that what represented his tenure as President was that he considered that a “hands-off” approach to the states and less power in the central government would benefit the nation.

What was one main result of the enclosure movement of british common lands in the late eighteenth century?
const2013 [10]
The main result was that a lot of people who were not wealthy lost the land that they had and only had the option to be hired as agricultural workers on someone else's land or they could work in the cottage industry. Many of these people actually became factory laborers which was one of the goals of the government too.
