The importance of fat in the diets of our ancestors was mainly a result of ________. question 17 options:
wel

The importance of fat in the diets of our ancestors was mainly a result of its energy-storing properties.

Option B

Explanation:

Earlier ancestors or say, hominids ancestor were at the inception of the evolutionary world developed a trend on eating whatever they could find. The ancestors are believed to be scavengers rather than hunters as the evolutionary and nutrition biology suggests.

They had to travel and work for the food and as they were scavengers, it was not guaranteed to have food on a daily basis, so the fat has energy storing properties and for which its importance was realized in the diet. Later when they became hunters, protein became more important in their diet.

What is the best evidence to
SashulF [63]

The best evidence would be two of her sons having hemophilia while one does not.

Hemophilia

Hemophilia is a sex-linked recessive disorder. This means that females can be homzygous normal, heterozygous, or affected by the disorder while males can either be normal or affected.

Why? This is because males have only one X chromosome (XY) while females have 2 X chromosomes (XX).

Also, the X chromosomes in males are always from their mothers while their Y chromosomes come from the father.

So, if the two X chromosomes of Irene are normal for hemophilia, none of her sons should be affected. If the two X chromosomes are affected, all her sons will have the disorders.

When one X chromosome is affected and the other is normal, it means that some of her sons will inherit the affected chromosome and have the disorder while some will inherit the normal chromosome and will be free from hemophilia.

How does a bacteria’s resistance to an antibiotic first arise? a.) vaccines b.) through mutation c.) bacteria learns to be resis
MakcuM [25]

Answer: option B through mutation

Explanation:

 • Antibiotic resistance is the phenomena in which the bacteria becomes reistance to a given antibiotic and is no longer killed or harmed by it.
 • Bacteria unlike humand divide rapidly and increase in large number. However, each time it divides it has to replicate its genetic material. In the process of replication there is always a chance of introducing an error which is called as a mutation.
 • The mutation that occurs in a bacteria can either ber advantageous or disadvantageous. However, amongst the various type of mutations that arise in the bacteria if a particular mutation is conferring resistance to an antibiotic then in such case the bacteris gets selected by natural selection.
 • The bacteria having acquired thr resistance is then able to produce more of its progenies with the same antibiotic resistance and thus, this is how the resistance gets propagated.

So, firstly the mutation is the one which gives rise to the resistance which is then spread among the bacterial population by the process of reproduction as well horizontal gene transfer.
