In psychiatric problem, the doctor could make diagnosis in 5 different axis to make sure they assess the patient comprehensively. Axis III is dedicated for general medical condition. In this case, serious cystic acne and bad skin would be categorized as general medical condition because it was not psychological or personality disorder.
