In 1901, he was elected the 26th president of the United States, and before that, he was the 33rd governor of New York. He was the Assistant Secretary for President William McKinley. Theodore's face was carved into Mount Rushmore with George Washington, Abraham Lincoln and Thomas Jefferson. He died in January 6, 1919 at the age of 60 years old.
