Answer:

Isovolumetric contraction.

Explanation:

Isovolumetric contraction -

It is an event which occurs at the early systole during which the ventricles contracts and volume is kept constant .

It is a short portion of the cardiac cycle which takes place when all the valves of the heart are closed .

The phase of isovolumetric contraction last for about 0.03 s , and this time period is sufficient to generate high pressure which can overcomes that of aorta and the pulmonary trunk on the opening the valves .

Why do the different skeletal muscle fiber types vary in the speed and duration of their twitches?
IrinaVladis [17]

Answer:

The different skeletal muscle fiber types vary in the speed and duration of their twitches due to -

b) They vary in the rate of hydrolysis of ATP

c) They vary in the removal of Ca+ from the cytosol

Explanation:

There are mainly two types of muscle fibers , i.e.

a) slow twitching, long contraction duration( type I fibers)

b) First twitching but short duration of contraction. ( type II fibers).

Now think of the physiology of muscle. Two components are important, cytosolic Ca++ concentration and Availability of ATP. K+ is related to the action potential ( none or all law, there is no relation to the duration with respect to the potassium). For long contraction muscle fibers need a more steady supply of ATP, and also consistent high concentration of cytosolic Ca++ for muscle contraction to happen. So, these two factor is important for the duration of twitching. So the answer is option f .

associations of patient-reported care satisfaction with symptom burden and healthcare use in hospitalized patients with cancer
Mekhanik [1.2K]

connections between cancer patients hospitalized for symptoms and healthcare utilization and patient-reported care satisfaction

What is healthcare?

It offers comprehensive care for health requirements across the lifespan, not only for a collection of particular disorders. Primary health care guarantees that patients receive high-quality, all-encompassing care that is as close as practical to their daily environments, spanning from promotion and prevention through treatment, rehabilitation, and palliative care.

From September 2014 to April 2017, we prospectively enrolled individuals who had cancer and unanticipated hospitalizations. We evaluated patients' physical, psychological, and emotional symptoms at the time of admission, as well as their satisfaction with their care (FAMCARE items: satisfaction with care coordination and timeliness of symptom treatment). We used regression models to find characteristics that affect care satisfaction and relationships between satisfaction and symptom load and length of hospital stay (LOS).

The majority of the 1,576 participants expressed "satisfaction" or "very satisfaction" with care coordination (90%) and the promptness of symptom treatment (89%).

High levels of care satisfaction are reported by cancer patients who are hospitalized, and these levels are associated with older age and admission to an oncology service. The significance of enhancing symptom management and care coordination in this population is highlighted by the relationships between higher care satisfaction, lower symptom load, and shorter hospital LOS.

A nurse is teaching about a new prescription for infliximab to a client who has rheumatoid arthritis. Which of the following inf
Phoenix [80]

Answer: Opcion A. "You will receive a Mantoux test before the initial medication dose"

Explanation: The INFLIXIMAB is one of the medications used for treating Rheumatoid arthritis, among other inflammatory diseases as psoriasic arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, Crohn's disease. It is used when the regular treatment has not worked. It helps to reduce pain and joint inflammation.

The mechanism of action of the INFLIXIMAB is to reduce a substance called TNFα (Tumor Necrosis Factor α) responsible for the inflammatory response that helps the body against an antigen. Because this medication reduces this body defense, it is important for the health providers to know in advance if there is a condition or disease in the immune system, cancer, or something that per se, could predispose to infections.

The Mantoux test is a tuberculin skin test that is used to know if a person has an infection with Mycobacterium tuberculosis, the bacteria responsible of causing Tuberculosis. In the test, a tuberculin protein called PPD is used to be injected into the skin, specifically in the forearm. If the person is infected with the bacteria, it is expected that between 48 and 72 hours, the health professional would see an induration in the site of injection.

If someone has a positive tuberculin test, then it would not be possible to administer INFLIXIMAB.

Opcion B. Incorrect. There is no description of diarrhea as an adverse event for using this medication. The adverse effects could be headache, stomach ache, cough or skin allergy. Also, for the suppression of part of the immune system, it is recommended to be aware of symptoms of infection as fever, sweats, muscle pain.

Opcion C. Incorrect. The usual dose of INFLIXIMAB in the treatment of Rheumatoid Arthritis for adults is, an inicial dose, then a second dose 2 weeks later; then, a third dose 4 weeks later, and finally one dose every 8 weeks.

Opcion D. Incorrect. The intranasal influenza vaccine is a "live attenuated" vaccine. If it is administered in a person using INFLIXIMAB, he/she could develop a severe infection by Influenza.
