Some medicinal uses of alcohol are: relief of anxiety or stress and reduction of cholesterol levels in the bloodstream. Alcohol in moderation can reduce bad cholesterol, increase good cholesterol, lower blood pressure, and minimize damage to arteries and blood vessels. When it come to treating anxiety, alcohol consumption has a sedative effect and produces a sense of euphoria and decreased inhibitions, seemingly providing relief from anxiety.
