Five dynasties ruled over the Delhi Sultanate sequentially.  The  complex, built by Qutb-ud-din Aibak, one of the great examples of architecture of the Delhi Sultanate, was supposedly made with stones from Jainist temples and hinduists destroyed Mamluk Couano-Kipchaq Qutb-ud-Din Aibak, former slave of the last king Gúrid.
