Well it killed a lot of military peeps and it affected the population becuz so many peeps died and some people like the farmers and the business were sometimes forced to fight so it affected a lot of people and the economy.
In theory, a market economy with many producers will most efficiently provide products. The reason for this, is that a market economy is ruled by consumers' needs and wants (as opposed to what the government thinks should be) and producers will compete to satisfy these market's needs.
Basically a president is someone who takes care of america and watches over us. He/She is like the parent of The United States Of America
