Dimension of first rug = 3 feet by 5 feet

Area of the first rug = 3 × 5 = 15 square feet

Dimension of second rug = 4 feet by 6 feet

Area of second rug = 4 × 6= 24  square feet

Area covered by two rugs =  Area of the first rug + Area of second rug

                     = 15 + 2 4

                      = 3 9 Square feet

The two Rugs will cover 3 9 Square feet of  kitchen's area.
