The Canton System - Trading Companies - Trade Networks

Explanation:

Qing China attempted to regulate European interactions in Chinese territory through The Canton System, which required European merchants to trade through approved Chinese guild merchants.

By contrast, independent Indian merchants formed Trading Companies and extensive Trade Networks, but the Mughal government paid little attention to these commercial interactions.

The Canton System was a trading pattern that took place between 17th and 19th centuries and it was held between Chinese merchants and foreign merchants coming from all over China and Great Britain. The headquarters for the Canton System were located in Southern China in the city of Guangzhou. This city was the biggest southern port of China and several goods such as spice, tea, silk, among others had transit in this area.
