What you must do for your homework is find the values for y, firstly. Once you had done that, then you must use the (x,y) values, plot them onto the Cartesian plane and label. For the table the answers are:
(-2,8)
(0,4)
(1,2)
(3,-2)
Fill in the y coordinates listed (8,4,2,-2)
Into your table. Now using the values I have given you, plot these onto the Cartesian plane and label. Then your homework will be done and you can do whatever you want if you’re all done :D

A small boat can travel at 28 per hour how many hours will it take to go across the bay that is 56 miles wide
dsp73

Answer:

2 hours

Remember that time = distance/rate

The distance you need to cover is 56 miles, while you go 28 miles per hour. Using these, we get this:

time=56/28

time=2

So it will take two hours to go across a 56 mile wide bay at 28 mph.

Find the sum. Express your answer in simplest form.
Marina86 [1]

Answer:

\frac{10x^2+3}{y^2+4}

Step-by-step explanation:

When adding rational numbers, if the denominator is the same you simply keep the denominator (bottom of fraction) as it is and apply the operation given to the numerator ( top of fraction )

So we have \frac{6x^2+5}{y^2+4} +\frac{4x^2-2}{y^2+4} =\frac{(6x^2+5)+(4x^2-2)}{y^2+4}

==> remove parenthesis and apply signs

\frac{x^2+5+4x^2-2}{y^2+4}

==> simplify numerator by combining like terms

\frac{10x^2+3}{y^2+4}

and we are done!

Note:

like terms are terms with the same variable and exponent

An example of like terms are 6x^7 and 3x^7 as they have x as a variable and a power of 7

The like terms being combined here were (6x² and 4x²) and (5 and -2)
