The correct answer is the following: option C. The stage directions in brackets affect the meaning of the text by showing the reader that Torvald thinks that Nora bought too much. The stage directions in the excerpt help the reader understand that the character of Torvald thinks that his wife is spending too much money. He is first reluctant to open his door and leave the room he is in at the moment, but as soon as his wife mentions that she has bought some stuff, he opens the door and looks into the room, to comment: "Has my little spendthrift been wasting money again"?. And although his comment is made with humor and not in an angry way, the reader can assume that he indeed thinks his wife spends too much money.

Answer:

D.

Explanation:

It states that in the last sentence of the paragraph that the old traditions for the people who most likely worshipped the Kota were lost, and their old ways changed greatly over time. Because of this, I'd logically assume that many of the descendants of the original tribesmen who looked up to this figure see Kota today as a remnant of an old tradition or way of life, thus this is why I selected D.

What does robert frost mean by the road less traveled by?
kkurt [141]
The road less traveled by is a fancy way of saying " That road nobody takes because they're all too afraid to. "
it basically means that it's the road less taken, e.g. " There have always been two roads before you enter the town of Corydon, Washington, however, no one has ever taken to the road to the left which doesn't yet have that fancy sign like the other roads do. The townsfolk say that road leads to a cliff, and/or just drops to nothing. So one day just out of spite of all the scaredy-cats I took that road to right, the road less traveled by "

I hope this helps if any!
