Answer:

For an offspring to have a recessive trait, both parents must have at least one recessive allele in their genotype

Explanation:

When an organism contains a pair of dissimilar alleles for a given trait it is said to be heterozygous. A heterozygous state contains one dominant  allele and a recessive allele. When two parents are heterozygous, the offspring will have a recessive trait. For example a cross between heterozygous tall plants.

Hydroxylamine is a mutagen that acts only on cytosine and causes C-->T and G-->A base pair changes (i.e. it causes transit
natulia [17]

Options for the question are not given. They are as follows:

a. arg or lys

b. ala

c. thr

d. leu or ser

e. Only termination codons

Answer:

d. leu or ser

Explanation:

Four codons code for proline amino acid. These are CCT, CCC, CCA, and CCG. Hydroxylamine causes C to change into T or G to change into A.

If first position is changed in each codon:

CCT = TCT (UCU)

CCC = TCC (UCC)

CCA = TCA (UCA)

CCG = TCG (UCG)

These codons produce Serine amino acid.

If second position is changed in each codon:

CCT = CTT (CUU)

CCC = CTC (CUC)

CCA = CTA (CUA)

CCG = CTG (CUG)

These codons produce Leucine amino acid.

Hence, out of the given options, option d. leu or ser is correct.

In what ways are autorhythmic fibers similar to and different from contractile fibers?
Leto [7]
I think Autorhythmic fibers are fibers that are self excitable or on their own for example some cardiac muscle. They  repeatedly generate action potentials that trigger heart contractions.They continue to stimulate a heart to beat even when it is removed from the body. In comparison to contractile fibers, autorhythmic fibers are self excitable and do not require nervous system stimulation to trigger contractions. Contractile fibers have stable resting membrane potentials of -90mV, when a contractile fibers reaches threshold by action potential, the voltage gated fast sodium ions channels will open.

What neurons always synapse with an effector?
Archy [21]

Answer:

Efferent/motor neuron

Explanation:

Efferent/ motor neuron synapse with an effector because efferent neuron is a nerve cell such as motor neuron that transmit electrical impulses o r information from the centre nervous system to the effector which then cause or lead to physiological changes or response to the body . The contain majorly of motor neurons or nerve fiber that send signals from the central nervous system(brain /spinal cord) to the effector neuron for changes that occur physically.
