Four strengths:
- little power to the government and more to the individual states
- supported the Constitutional Army
- Congress had the power to deal with foreign affairs, wars, and sign treaties
- allowed a formation of more than 60,000 people per state
Four weaknesses:
- no currency
- no taxes to there was no revenue
- no president or authoritative figure to establish laws
- each state only had one vote regardless of its size
