The great white shark, Carcharodon carcharias, is likely the worst feared shark currently living in the ocean. Because of the mo

vie Jaws, most people are well aware of this creature. At an average 17 ft (5.2 m) in length, and weighing over 2400 lb (1,100 kg), this monster is a primeval eating machine. It regularly feeds on dolphins, porpoises, whales, seals, sea lions, and many species of fish. Ichthyologists have even observed great whites eating birds by leaping out of the water and catching them in their massive jaws.
These adept hunters make use of an organ known as the Ampullae of Lorenzini, which allows the fish to detect the electromagnetic fields created by the movement of living animals. Whenever a living creature moves, it generates an electrical field. Great whites, among other sharks, can detect this field up to one half a billionth of a volt. This allows the great white to detect prey by the movement of its heartbeat.
Scientists know little about the social habits of the great white. The animals have a strict hierarchy according to size, gender, and age. The majority of their time is spent hunting. Mating encounters are brief, and mothers give birth to live young. It is not known how long great whites live, but scientists estimate the creatures can live anywhere from 75 to 100 years of age.

I would think C, since it has something to do with both with the species and its' eating habits.

Which charts can be used to prevent and control a problem?
astra-53 [7]

Answer:

A) Scatter Diagram can be used to prevent and control a problem.

Explanation:

Scatter diagram is a chart used when the user wants to determine the relationship between cause of a problem and the effects. It also determines one cause and two others. Since it investigates the cause and effects, it is used in problem-solving and controlling problems.

Furthermore, it can be used to analyse problems involving many variations which other charts like histogram, Pareto diagrams cannot analyse. Analyzing the chart checks the relationship between the y-axis and x-axis values by assessing if there is any correlation, whether it is a negative or a positive correlation, and etc.

____can give clues about the cooling speeds of magmas, the presence of water beneath the surface or even the intensity of past c
serious [3.7K]

Answer:

The grain size

Explanation:

The grain size can provide lot of clues for us when it comes to the formation of the rocks, the conditions in which they formed, and even what happened after their initial formation. The reason for this is that the grains vary in size and shape depending on the conditions in which the rocks formed. If the magma/lava cooled of quickly, the grains will be very small, almost unnoticeable, and that is a sign that the cooling appeared on the surface, very close to it, or in the presence of water. On the other hand, if the magma cooled slowly, the grains will be large and well defined, and that is a sign that the magma was cooling off slowly, deep into the crust, where there's higher temperature and pressure.
