For 9) Joy is correct because a square has four sides so it is always a quadrilateral. Quadrilaterals do not always have equal sides so they are not always squares.
For 10) The answer is C. To be a parallelogram, a shape must have two sets of parallel sides, which all 3 shapes have.
For 11) The answer is A. A square has four sides and four right angles, so it is always a rectangle.
Hope this helped :)

There are 6 times as many males as females on the maths course at university what fraction of the course are male?
WITCHER [35]

Answer:

Let M represents the Male and F represents the Female.

As per the statement:

There are 6 times as many males as females on the maths course at university.

⇒ M = 6F

Total number of person on the maths course = M + F = 6F+ F = 7F

we have to find the fraction of the course are male;

\text{Fraction of the course are male} = \frac{\text{Number of males on the maths course}}{\text{Total number of person on the course}}

Substitute the given values we have;

\text{Fraction of the course are male} = \frac{6F}{7F} = \frac{6}{7}

therefore, the fraction of the course are male is, \frac{6}{7}
