Which of the following graphs best represents the solution to the pair of equations below? y = −x + 6 y = 2x − 3 A coordinate pl

ane is shown with two lines graphed. One line passes through the y axis at 6 and through the x axis at 6. The other line passes through the y axis at negative 3 and the x axis at 1.5. The lines intersect at the point 3 comma 3.

Answer:

The lines are

i)  y=-x+6

ii) y=2x-3

The solution of the system of equations is found by equalizing the 2 equations:

-x+6=2x-3

-2x-x=-6-3

-3x=-9

x=-9/(-3)=3

substitute x=3 in either i) or ii):

i)  y=-3+6=3

ii) y=2(3)-3=6-3=3

(the result is the same, so checking one is enough)

This means that the point (3, 3) is a point which is in both lines, so a solution to the system.

In graphs, this means that the lines intersect at (3, 3) ONLY

Answer: The graph where the lines intersect at (3, 3)

Decrease 1.25 km by 0.6%
Anna35 [415]

Answer:

124250cm, 1242.5m or 1.2425km

Step-by-step explanation:

0.6% = 6/100

6/100 = 0.006

0.006*1.25 = 0.0075

1.25km = 1250m = 125000cm

0.0075km = 7.5m = 750cm

125000 - 750 = 124250

Therefore:

The answer is 124250cm, 1242.5m or 1.2425km

Mark's brother is 5 years older than mark their combined ages add up to 23 how old is my make sure you have expression for Mark
3241004551 [841]

Answer:

Mark is 9 and his brother is 14.

The expression for Mark: 23 - 9 = 14

The expression for his brother: 23 - 14 = 9

Step-by-step explanation:

We know that 14 is 5 more than 9, and Mark is the younger one so he would be 9 and his brother 14. 9 + 14 also equals 23, so thats how you know you have the right answers.
