Does Fredrick Douglass use fallacious reasoning or logical fallacies?

Douglass's ability to read also gave him the ability become cognizant of the world around him. Douglass demonstrates the fallacy in this line of reasoning by showing that it is the condition of slavery that reduces people to chattel, not an intrinsic inferiority of the black race.

Read this excerpt from "A Modest Proposal" by Jonathan Swift:
Korvikt [17]
First person

It takes a bit of reading into the passage to see what point of view it is, because there is little indication in the first paragraph. The first indication that it is written in first person is the use of "us" at the end of that first paragraph. Then, in the subsequent paragraphs the reader sees that the author uses "I" several times, indicating first person perspective.

Which element of a short story would be most important to a story about a moral conflict?
zmey [24]

Answer:

Characterization

Explanation:

Characterization will bring your character to life and further describe what is happening. Thus, your reader will get a better connection to the character.

This will result in the reader possibly caring more about their moral conflict and the written characterization of a character with a moral conflict will add a lot more flexibility with your writing.
